Happy Easter, Happy Spring

In the so-tired-of-winter Midwest, spring is taking its own sweet time arriving, but over here Europe, we are ahead of the season. My family and friends in Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Minnesota are sick of seeing snow, so throw open those shutters, let the sunshine, enjoy a sneak peak of my neck of the woods, back home in Switzerland.

Out my back door, through the fields, step into that breathtaking view of the AlpsIMG_4382_copy

Hang in there. Spring will be tap dancing at your doorstep soon. Flowers will burst into a riot of color like fireworks reminding you to celebrate the survival of a rough winter. Sending love and laughter, chocolate and chutzpa, sweet vibes and sunshine from Switzerland. Happy Easter.

  1. Pat, what breath-taking photos you’ve shared here! Spring finally is tip-toeing into Central Illinois, but you’re so right in saying it’s been one LONG winter. I think Midwesterners appreciate good weather more than those living in other parts of the USA (perhaps because we’re the “bread basket” and so much of the food we need comes from right here!). No wonder you fell in love with Switzerland — the vistas are spectacular! Here’s hoping you and yours have a splendid Easter!

    • Aren’t you glad you escaped some of that wild winter by heading South? No wonder there are so many snow birds in the Midwest. However, I could never live anywhere without the change of seasons, each bringing something different to enjoy. Happy Easter!

    • Oh that capricious Mother Nature… it has been raining over here ever since I posted those glorious pictures. Blessing especially to you on this Sunday.

  2. Spectacular!! We are suppose to have a wonderful weekend. My fingers are crossed.
Happy Easter to you and G! Miss you

  3. I loved the photos and recognize many of the beautiful locations. You really are surrounded by some spectacular sights. Happy Easter and Happy Spring to you and G. Love you.

  4. FINALLY, I just got back from Seoul, Korea where spring had definitely sprung, to find that we are at last seeing some signs of new life here in Boston. We are only months behind the rest of the world.

I would love to hear from you
